glock 43x sugar skull

glock 43x sugar skull

Glock 43x Sugar Skull - Based on the same design theory as the popular 19X, the 43X combines the short profile of the 43 slide with the extended grip length of the Glock 19. The single thin frame increases comfort and concealment for almost any user.

The extended frame also allows for 10 round magazines, an increase of 4 rounds from the Glock 43's 6 round magazines. Please note that this magazine only holds 43X and 48, due to the unique frame size.

The slide is coated with Robbins egg blue, and has front slits for faster and easier manipulation.

Finally, the 43X also features some of the design upgrades found in the Gen5 line, including an indexable barrel and smooth grip.

glock 43x striker

glock 43x striker

Glock 43x Striker - There is a lot of talk out there about an accessory for Glock pistols called the Trigger Control Device. It seems like when this product comes online, some people want to whip out their pitchforks and start a riot. I would like to think that this is the result of a simple misunderstanding. So, before we look at the actual product, let's talk about why it even exists to begin with.

Hear more in the video below, or scroll down to read the article featuring "Glock Gadget."

Glock 43x Striker

Glock 43x Striker

[NOTE: Some of the technical information on today's page may not make sense if you're just reading the text, but if you skip to 5:14 and watch 6:18 in the video, you'll see a demonstration. . that should explain it.]

Stainless Steel Polished Striker Fits All Glock Gen 1 4

Before Glock guns became popular in the 1980s and 1990s, almost all semi-automatics were single-action with a safety or double-action/single-action with a safety or decocker or both. Glocks have none of those things. They are fired with a trigger, mag release, and slide stop.

Today, Glocks and other handguns that are fired by snipers are the norm rather than the opposite. Shooters appreciate the ease of use of a gun with limited controls. It is easy to learn and some would say easy to master.

Of course, that simplicity has its downsides. You have a light trigger with a short travel length and no external protection. This means that there are fewer failures to prevent an accidental discharge if the shooter has trouble holding the gun properly. And let's face it: no matter how well trained we are, we all make mistakes. I don't know any shooter who can honestly say that they always have a perfect shot. It's rare to find a shooter who can honestly say his finger hasn't slipped on the trigger when it shouldn't.

That's why, along with the four basic gun safety rules that everyone learns, there are some good tips that the training community teaches. In particular, there are some techniques we can use to re-handle the gun, which is often the most common gun handling error.

Slide Optic Milling Service For Glock 42/43/43x/48

Before moving the gun to the holster, take a moment to make sure the index finger is placed on the slide or frame and away from the trigger. Remove the holster if necessary, and check to make sure the holster is free of obstructions. Stand or lean in such a way that the muzzle does not cover the lower body when the gun is holstered. Then, slowly and deliberately, hold the gun again.

These are some of the best practices to help reduce the risk of accidental discharge. There are some people (like me) who are not satisfied with this. When you have distractions happening in front of you, whether it's a series or the real world, people tend to skip some or all of the steps when moving again. So there is one more thing you can do depending on the type of gun you have. With a double-action hammer, you can depress the hammer with your thumb. That way, it is impossible for the gun to go off, even if there is a finger on the trigger, or a string or a piece of a shirt tail hanging from the trigger.

I really like this game. After doing it for a while, it quickly gets into your muscle memory. In the end, it's what you do. It may take some mental effort to hold the gun without the thumb on the hammer. So, even if something crazy is going down and you end up doing something stupid to check speed, or maybe it's dark and you can't see clearly inside your holster, hitting the hammer unconsciously helps prevent accidents. release

Glock 43x Striker

Unfortunately, you don't have that option with a shotgun because it doesn't have a hammer. That's why a couple of very smart guys from the Tau Dev Group developed the Attacker Control Device. You may know it as "Device."

Striker Glock 9/40 Ds (holiday)

This is a small part of Glock pistols that inserts the slide plate into the rear of the slide. If you shoot the gun regularly, it doesn't change anything about how the Glock works; and a slide cover that tilts outward when you press the trigger. But if you put pressure on the back of the slide, it stops the movement behind the striker and the trigger. In that case, it's like a hammer on a double-action shotgun. If you hit the back of the slide with your thumb while holding it back, the gun will not fire.

As I mentioned at the beginning, for some reason, the Striker Control Device seems to have generated a lot of anger and controversy. I don't know why exactly. It is not necessary to upgrade. It is the only option for people who want to take advantage of the increased security. Some people may be concerned that it will affect the sensation of the trigger or that it will cause labor.

I've never had a problem with what I've used. But more importantly, I know many dedicated Glock shooters who have put tens of thousands of rounds through Glocks with rifle control devices installed. Some of them were beta testers who have been using these products for the past five years or more. I don't know of any Glock that has major problems because of it. I'm sure it's possible, but I think most of the concerns about reliability are speculative. It would help to reduce the doubts of some people if they had a better understanding of how this device works.

It's a very simple concept. First, let's take a look at how a standard Glock works with all the factory parts. This is a list of shooting pins. The trigger/firing pin has some problems when it is on the slide. Then, when you press the trigger, the handle/knob continues to move back. When the press is complete, the spring sends the firing pin forward. I'm going to put this back on the slide and put the factory slide cover back on...

Slimline Pistols Under Test: Glock 43x And 48

The firing pin moves back and forth along this path in the slide and the slide cover acts as a catch for everything.

Lower Glock slide with fixed trigger plate. The firing pin/trigger (the silver part near the back of the slide) moves in a way when you pull the trigger.

Now here is the slide with the shooters control gear. It is a slide cover with a small piece that extends into the firing mechanism. So now, if you fire the gun properly, the firing pin pushes the piece out of the way. There is no spring in the batter control device. It moves freely and doesn't add any friction that can affect stimulation. But if we apply pressure on the Firing Control Device itself, it will stop the firing pin from moving forward.

Glock 43x Striker

When you install the Striker Control Device in place of the fixed slide plate, the movement of the firing pin causes the trapdoor-like part of the SCD to pop out from behind the slide. (In the picture above, the movement is done by hand using a Glock disassembly tool)

Ltt Striker Control Device (scd) For Glock

So there's not much to it. I can see how the trigger would make a bit of a trigger if you dropped the gun in a muddy puddle or something. It's not much of a world concern for most of us.

Many of our readers who know that I am a fan of DA/SA pistols have asked me about the options in a single 9mm group or pistol bag. Unfortunately, there are very few to choose from. I think the best thing would be a Glock 42 or 43 or some other small Glock with a Striker Control Device.

Unfortunately, due to the way most shotguns are designed, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing similar Smith & Wesson M&P or Sig P320 or other shotguns anytime soon. But they are available for any Gen 2 through Gen 5 Glock. You can find them on the Tau Dev Group website. Regular price is $89 but it looks like it's on sale right now for $79. I think it's worth it, and I don't see any reason to carry a Glock without one.

glock 43x suppressor

Glock 43x Suppressor - In what might be the best-kept secret this holiday season, filled with drama in artist renderings and speculative features, TFB is ready to debut the real thing. GLOCK has released two new Slimline pistols – the GLOCK 43X and a longer slide GLOCK 48 – aimed at the everyday carry market. Obviously, both guns are focused on narrow frames and slides, which are easier to carry concealed compared to a compact or full-sized piece. But what else do these new handguns offer over GLOCK's current subcompact models that will convert those shooters who are already comfortable with their current carry options? Let's see.

With a longer grip comes increased magazine capacity: The main complaint at the debut of the G43 a few years ago focused on the number of rounds with close-range guns. The 10 + 1 loadout takes the GLOCK 43X (G43X) and GLOCK 48 (G48) safe from a personal protection/backup pistol to a compact defensive pistol. Factory and aftermarket baseplates, if any, should add two more rounds. The standard baseplates are similar to the new Gen 5 baseplates with a little extra height on the leading edge. The mags also have a high visibility orange follower.

Glock 43x Suppressor

Glock 43x Suppressor

The added length of 0.75 inches on the G43 (0.83 inches on the G26) makes both pistols comfortable and easy to hold. The lack of finger grooves, a recent throwback to the Gen 1 and Gen 2 models, is a welcome feature of the 9mm slimline series. As far as I know, the frames are completely interchangeable between the G43X and G48.

Trijicon Suppressor Height Tritium Night Sights

The beveled leading edges help with holstering and forward slide serrations help with Deniro-esque press checks and tactical manipulations. And I'm usually not a fan of two-tone guns, but the new silver glasses are starting to grow on me the more time I spend with these guns.

Typical of the Austrian power plant manufacturer, incremental updates/changes/additions may seem a little lacking in a first pass. But the usefulness of each gun is greater than the sum of their parts. These slimline silver pistols hold and shoot comfortably and safely. My only wish is that I had a holster handy so I could actually carry one as an EDC piece for a week or so to give you a better idea of the usability. (I'm betting on which company will release the first G48 and G43X holsters).

Rather than read into my boring rant, let's look at a pictorial comparison of the new slimline pistols against the original G43.

I have no doubt that GLOCK will sell a ton of new slimline 9mm pistols. And rightfully so: these are compact weapons with classic GLOCK reliability. In my opinion, this is a necessary (and expected) addition to the gunmaker's line.

Glock 43x 9mm Pistol

For me, the GLOCK 43X has a very good chance of replacing my G26 workhorse. Stay tuned for more reviews and scopes on the Silver Slimline pistols in the coming weeks.

SMYRNA, Ga. – January 2, 2019 Today, GLOCK, Inc announced two additions to the GLOCK pistol family. The GLOCK 43X and GLOCK 48 have a Slimline series design with a silver color and are perfect for everyday use. Both pistols chambered in 9X19 have a compact Slimline frame with a silver nPVD finish and a 10-round magazine capacity, making it ideal for concealed carry.

Good day dear readers. Welcome to Silencer Saturday, where the only good barrel is a threaded barrel. Today we will stay a little with a quick look at the fun of owning restricted pocket pistols - especially the GLOCK 43 with the Thompson Machine Poseidon. Fortunately, the weather is better here in God's country - which means it's time to look for reviews and photos from outside instead of white backgrounds.

I often describe the disease Silencerosis as a kind of evolution. New buyers focus on the absolute quietest setup, while veteran owners look to suppress every gun they own with a mission-ready* suppressor, even if it means sacrificing decibels for a smaller package. The GLOCK 43 is nowhere near the smallest suppressable pocket pistol, but I've been looking for a perfectly sized 9mm suppressor—the Poseidon from Thompson Machine fits all my G43 needs.

* A "mission" can be anything from possible defense situations or pure entertainment. You don't need to be 007 to enjoy small suppressors. Restricted Pocket Pistols - GLOCK 43 and Thompson Machine Poseidon

Glock 43x Suppressor

The beauty of most microcans is that they usually do not require a booster (Nielsen unit) to help cycle breech-loading handguns. This saves weight, cost and most importantly length in an attempt to create the smallest restrictive package possible. You will need a threaded barrel though: I bought the SilencerCo barrel from Brownells here.

The Thompson Poseidon is a hybrid muffler that uses a short monocore baffle system followed by a rubber exhaust. The wiper is good for about 40-100 rounds before needing to be replaced, but the beauty of a hybrid that can have a monocore is that you can continue shooting without using a wipe, with reducing the suppression level.

Pictured above: The Black Panther Titanium Micro Blade from SMRT Gadget is a ridiculously sharp little knife. It also has a tight pocket clip and a dedicated glass breaker. I'm not much of a blade junkie, but the Black Panther fits perfectly into my EDC routine. Please consider supporting their Indiegogo campaign here - there are only a few days left before the big launch.

At just 4.125" x 1.25" diameter and a featherweight of 3.8 oz, the Poseidon offers sound attenuation comparable to industry-leading mufflers twice its size and weight. Using artificial environment and wiping technology with a proprietary mono-baffle stack, the Poseidon has a unique design that helps seal the end user's chosen ablative medium until the suppressor is used; thus eliminating a major disadvantage of wet suppressors. In other words, your ablative medium won't run out of your pocket! As an additional selling point, the Thompson Machine Poseidon is also a true multi-caliber suppressor and is very quiet in .22lr, .25acp, .32acp, 9x18mm and .380acp host weapons. The Poseidon is easily and completely disassembled for cleaning and includes the necessary disassembly tools at no additional cost. The Poseidon 9mm is available in 1/2-28, 1/2-36 or 13.5x1LH thread patterns.

Suppressors like the Poseidon work best when wet (using an ablative medium to slow and cool the expanding gases). I owe you all an ablative media comparison, but right now I prefer Inland Manufacturing's dB Foam for the sole reason that it tends to stay inside the muffler instead of coming out the nose. Filling Poseidon with dB Foam lasts approx

Costa Ludus visuals include a distinctive nighttime Fission Perfect Dot® on the front sight and a horizontal triangular stripe on the background. Served with a low-gloss finish, their moderate height stays out of your way to give a low profile. The Costa Ludus Terrain was designed under the direction of Chris Costa, who has an extensive background with the US Coast Guard and as a gunnery instructor. These attractions have many unique features that differentiate them from other night attractions. Most notably, the front and rear sights have a flickering effect. At the leading edge of the background, another manual control should be applied to the maximum. The Costa Ludus scenery includes a private night Fission Perfect Dot® in the foreground and a horizontal triangle in the background. The tritium rod allows the shooter to clearly distinguish front and rear sights in low light conditions. The background is also cropped and zooms in on the target image for quick purchases.

I tend to describe the Silencerosis problem as evolutionary. New buyers focus on the quietest possible setup. The advantage of most smaller cans is that they usually do not require reinforcement (Nielsen tools) to assist in tilting the revolver. This saves weight, cost and length, which is very important when you are trying to create the smallest compression package. You need a threaded barrel: I bought a SilencerCo barrel from Brownells here.

The Thompson Poseidon is a hybrid silencer that uses a small device followed by a single sweep. Wiping is good for 40-100 cycles before needing to be replaced. But hybrid beauties can have a monocore. And you can continue shooting only without cleanup and slow down.

Pictured above: The Black Panther Titanium Micro Blade by SMRT Gadget is an embarrassing little campaign. It also has a sturdy pocket clip and a dedicated glass breaker. I'm not a blade fanatic, but the Black Panther fits nicely into my EDC routine. Consider supporting their Indiegogo campaign now - just a few days left before it opens.

Measuring 4.125 inches long and 1.25 inches in diameter and weighing a feather light 3.8 ounces, the Poseidon provides the same level of compression as an industry-leading suppressor at twice its size and weight. By using design and polishing technology together with mono baffles. The Poseidon has a unique design that keeps it sealed in the user's evaporative form until the suppressor is applied.
